Heart

unMasked

A workshop on meeting the heart as alchemist and asking what it actually means to live a life in integrity with it.

𓋹 — the heart is the first alchemist, our oldest teacher.

We speak so often of acting from the heart, of doing heart-centered work, yet most of us have no real practice of being with our hearts. This workshop is a return. A tending. An unmasking.

"We can live without brain function for months. We cannot live a single moment without the heart."

I. WHY

The Inquiry

To be in integrity with the heart, we must first recognize the heart as alchemist.

It is our greatest and first teacher in alchemy. We cannot be in the embodiment of our souls if we are disconnected from our hearts. We cannot live a life in integrity if we are disconnected from our hearts.

So much attention is given to the heart — to act from the heart, to speak from the heart, to do heart-centered work. And yet most of us aren't even aware of our relationships with our hearts. Most of us don't have a regular practice of checking in, of being with the heart at all.

You cannot live a life in integrity if you are not in relationship with your heart.

What is love to you?

What would it be like to actually move from the heart? To live in integrity with your heart? Are you willing to be the villain in someone else's story in order to act in integrity with your own?

What is integrity, to you?

II. What You'll Walk Away With

A living practice of being with your heart.

A direct, felt sense of the heart as alchemist — and language for the relationship you've been living without naming.

A guided meditation and a tending ritual you can return to — tools for checking in with the heart and letting it actually express.

Honest inquiry into what love and integrity mean to you — not the inherited definitions, but the ones your heart is actually living by.

A closing inquiry on faith and surrender — and an opening into the longer journey of alchemy, if you choose to keep walking.

𓂀 — The heart was the only organ the Egyptians left in the body. It was weighed against a feather.

III. Investment & Dates

One sitting. One opening.

The Return

All of it comes from here.

We will spiral in together — guided meditation, tending, expression through art and music and movement. Each layer returns us to the same center: the heart asking to be met.

IV. Workshop Flow

One afternoon. Eight movements.

We open with context — the why, the how, the who. A brief overview of the Duat and the guardian Anput, so the mythic ground is held.

From there we move into the heart itself: meditation, tending, and the expression of what is held there — through art, sound, and movement.

We close with harvest and an inquiry into faith and surrender — what does it ask of you, to stay in integrity with this heart?

VI. Meet Your Guide

Mona Abutaleb

Mona is an alchemist and practitioner of integrity. She walks the earth embodying the connection and balance between the underworld — subconscious, waters — and the waking world — conscious, earth. She is a weaver of webs between both worlds in her work with clients one on one as well as in group facilitation.

She trusts that healing always happens in community, no matter how hyper-individuated society gets. What moves her is curiosity and a belief that sacred wisdom is held within our bodies — and that this wisdom guides us to live in integrity with our soul, so we can act in integrity with the new way of the world.

She works through earth and body-based practices, guided by ancient Egyptian mythology and elemental shadow work. As a Somatic Therapist, her practice focuses on touch and the power of co-regulation. Mona owes her practice to her body, her ancestors before her, her immigrant family, and the teachers she's had the privilege to learn from.

Currently living on her ancestral lands in Cairo, Egypt.
